New Classes Starting This Week!


Yarn Tree Studio has great project and skill based classes starting this week! Stop by the shop today or call to sign up.

TUESDAY, MARCH 15

Block Party: 10am - Noon
We will explore various techniques in knitting one block at a time using Nicky Epstein’s Knitting Block by Block. This class meets once a month, tackling a new technique each month. Come every month or just to learn the techniques that challenge you. During the first class, we will knit a classic diamond lace square and learn how to read a chart.

The Wonderful Wallably: 6-8pm
The Wallaby Sweater reflects the union of classic line and functional use. It combines comfort and good looks and is the hand knitted version of the ever popular hooded sweatshirt! It is knitted in the round with the efficient use of double pointed and circular needles, eliminating seams and joining of component parts. Pre-requisite: You have to already be proficient in knitting in the round by your preferred method; either double pointed needles, 2 circular needles or magic loop method.

Greenfield Cardigan
A great first sweater project! This top down, no sew garter stitch cardigan with a little lace detail is a fast, fun project whether it is your first or fiftieth sweater!

THURSDAY,  MARCH 17

Continental Knitting Workshop: 10am-Noon
This 2-hour workshop offers an alternative to conventional right handed knitting. Learn how to knit and purl by carrying the yarn in your left hand and changing easily between knit and purl stitches.  BEGINNING KNITTING SKILLS REQUIRED.
